Blessed!

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law recently moved out of state. They asked us to pack up some items for their satellite dish and send it back to the company. One of the pieces required us to climb onto the roof and unscrew a piece from the dish. Well, Todd said he wouldn't have time to do it until next week and I was tired of it not being done so I decided to go buy a ladder and do it myself.

So I go to Home Depot, buy a ladder, and run a few more errands. About 3.5 hours later when I returned home, I realized I didn't have my planner with me which contains items such as my drivers license, credit card, debit card, medical cards. I realized that while loading Spencer and the ladder in the car I must have left it in the Home Depot shopping cart. I took Spencer in the house and asked Todd to get him ready for bed while I went back to see if anyone had turned in my planner.

As I pulled into the parking lot and went over to where I left the cart, I realized no one had collected the carts yet. I looked in the first shopping cart and there was my planner where I had left it. It appears all the important items were still there. I got in the car and thanked Heavenly Father. I am so glad He watches out for us.

As for climbing up on the roof and getting the piece off the dish, when I got to the house it turns out my 6-foot ladder was too short. I went to a friend's house a few streets down to see if she had a taller ladder and she didn't. However, she did have a 6'2" son (my brother and sister-in-law's home teacher) she let me borrow and he was able to climb on the roof and get all the necessary pieces. At least I hope we got everything.=)
