Every February the Pomona Library celebrates Laura Ingalls Wilder's birthday. I took my niece this year and we had lots of fun. According to the librarian, Laura would have eaten gingerbread at a party, so they raffled of some gingerbread cake mix and Josie won. She also colored a picture of a one room school.Apparantly, the childrens' section of the library is named after Laura. The librarian told me that the first librarian, who was penpals with Laura, was given the opportunity to name the childrens' library. She asked Laura if she could name it after her and Laura was flattered.

I am glad that I got to read about your trip to the library since I wasn't here to talk about it when you brought her home! We have already made and long ago eaten the gingerbread cookies, Daddy especially liked them! Thanks for taking her, she had a blast!
